This weekend I was able to check out the Olight Warrior Mini 2 in some more depth. It really is one of my favorite EDC flashlights thanks to the sheer power it provides for such a small package and it’s cutting edge technology. It delivers up to 1750 lumens with a 220 meter throw via its Luminus SST40 emitter and comes with a smart proximity sensor which dims the light temporarily when it detects an object directly in front. The color temp is in the 6000-7000K range so a very cool white. The included 18650 battery will provide anywhere from 4 minutes to 45 days of runtime depending on the output setting and you also get the typical MCC3 magnetic USB charging cable.
Another thing I like is the user interface with the handy side switch but also the two-stage tactical tail switch allows you to activate turbo or strobe with a single press. Overall I see this as a worthy upgrade to the original Warrior Mini with a more refined and brighter beam together with some nifty new features such as the proximity sensor and the ability to orient the pocket clip so you can carry it bezel down. You can check out the Warrior Mini 2 and other offerings here at Olight.
